Questions,answered

What this repository covers, how current it is, and how far you can rely on it.

How many Nigerian federal laws are available here?
This repository holds the full text of 759 Nigerian federal Acts, covering more than 25,000 individual sections. Every Act is browsable and searchable by title, and each one is published on its own page with the complete section-by-section text.
Is access to these Nigerian laws free?
Yes. Every Act is free to read in full. There is no paywall, no metered limit, and no account or sign-up required — you can open, read, and share any law immediately.
Are these the official texts of the Acts?
The pages reproduce the text of the Acts as enacted by the National Assembly, presented in full rather than summarised. For a certified copy — for example to tender in court — you should still rely on the Federal Government Printer or the official Gazette, as later amendments and repeals may not yet be reflected here.
Can I cite a law from this site?
You can cite the Act and section as you normally would, and each law has a stable, permanent URL you can link to. For filings and formal legal work, verify the wording against the Gazette or an official print, since a statute may have been amended after publication here.
How do I find a specific Nigerian law?
Use the search box to filter all 759 Acts by title as you type, or jump straight to a letter using the A–Z index. Each law page also lists related Acts from the same year to help you trace connected legislation.
Is this legal advice?
No. This is a reference library of primary legislation, not legal advice. Reading a statute is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified lawyer on your specific situation.
