CERTAIN POLITICAL, PUBLIC AND JUDICIAL OFFICE HOLDERS (SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES, ETC.) 2002 ACT NO. 6
Section 1: Commencement
The provisions of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on the 29th May, 1999.
Section 2: Salaries, Allowances, Fringe Benefits of Federal Political and Public Office holders and Federal and State Judicial Officers (As amended by Section 2 of the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.)

A person who is-
(a)
elected or appointed to an office in the Executive Arm of the Federal Government or the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as specified in the First Column or Parts I and III of the Schedule to this Act shall be entitled to the salary allowances and fringe benefits set out in the second column of Parts I (a) and (b) and III (a) and (b) ; and
(b)
a judicial officer in the Judicial Arm of the Federal or State Government as specified in the First Column of Parts II and III of the Schedule to this Act shall be entitled to the salary allowances and fringe benefits set out in the second column of Parts II (a) and (b). Holders of the offices mentioned under section 1(a) and (b) of this Act shall receive their allowances and fringe benefits and severance benefits as provided for under the Schedule to this Act.

This Act may be cited as the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008.
