Section 33: Criminal Procedure

(1) Subject to the provision of this section, criminal proceedings before the Court shall be conducted substantially in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Act, and the provisions of that Act shall, with such modifications as may be necessary to bring it into conformity with the provisions this act, have effect in respect of all matters falling within the jurisdiction of the Court.

(2) Notwithstanding the generality of subsection (1) of this section, all criminal causes or matters before the Court shall be tried summarily.
(3) For the purposes of this section, except when the contrary intension appears from the context, any reference in the Criminal Procedure Act to the Attorney-General of a State shall be construed as a reference to the Attorney-General of the Federation.
