Section 37: Obstruction of an approved agency, etc. As Amended by section 9 of the TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND POSTAL OFFENCES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2016

A person who wilfully obstructs an officer of the approved agency operator, Postal Service or Task Force or any authorised officer in the exercise of the powers conferred on the approved agency, operator, Postal Service, Task Force or authorised person by or in pursuance of this Act, is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction-(a) in the case of an individual, to a fine of N250,000 or imprisonment for a term of not less than twelve months or to both such fine and imprisonment; and
(b) in the case of a body corporate, to a fine of N2,000,000.
