Section 64: Consignee or agent may retain ships' dues out of owner's monies
When any ships' dues are paid by a person who is made liable under paragraph (b) of subsection (1) or paragraph (b) or (c) of subsection (2) of section 63 of this Act, not being the master or owner of the ship, that person may retain, out of any money in his hands received on account of the ship or its owner-(a) the amount of dues paid by him; and
(b) any reasonable expenses he may have incurred by reason of that payment or liability.
