Section 61: Consignee or agent may retain harbour dues out of owner's monies

When harbour dues or rates are paid by a person who, not being the owner or master of the ship, is made liable by paragraph (b) or paragraph (c) of section 60 of this Act, that person may retain, out of any money in his hands received on account of the ship or its owner-(a) the amount of the harbour dues or rates paid by him; and
(b) any reasonable expenses he may have incurred by reason of that payment or liability.
