Section 67: Lien for freight preserved after landing if notice given
(1)
If the master or owner of a ship, or his agent, or the person by whom the goods are landed, at or before the time of landing from the ship of any goods at any wharf or other premises of the Authority, gives notice in writing that those goods are to remain subject to a lien for freight, primage or general average or charges to an amount to be mentioned in the notice, the goods shall continue to be liable to the same lien, if any, for the charges as they were subject to before the landing of the goods.
(2) The Authority shall retain the goods at the risk and expense of the owner of the goods until the lien is discharged as mentioned in section 68 of this Act, or until the Authority is entitled under the provisions of this Part of this Act to sell the goods.
