Section 16: As amended by Nigerian Mining Corporation (Amendment) Decree 1998 (Cap 317 1998)

For the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding the provisions of this Act, the Minister may grant any of the rights, licences and leases under the Minerals Act to any person, other than the Corporation, for the prospecting and mining of the minerals referred to in this Act.
