NIGERIA DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION ACT, 2023
Section 82: Accounts and audit.
(1) The Managing Director shall submit to the Board for approval not later than 30 September of each year, an estimate of its expenditure and income during the succeeding year.
(2) The Corporation shall-
(a) keep proper accounts in respect of each financial year;
(b) keep proper records in relation to those accounts; and
(c) cause the accounts to be audited within six months after the end of the financial year.
(3) For the purpose of subsection (1) the financial year of the Corporation shall be from 1 January to 31 December of every year, or such other period as may be determined by the Board.
(4) The accounts of the Corporation shall be audited by auditors appointed on such terms as may be determined by the Board, subject to the provision of section 85 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999. [Cap. C23, LFN, 2004]
