Section 79: Power to compound offences.

(1) Without prejudice to section 174 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Corporation may compound any offence punishable under this Act by accepting an amount less than the fine provided for the offence by this Act.
(2) All money receivable under the provisions of subsection (1) shall be paid to the Corporation.
(3) All offences under this Act shall be tried by the Federal High Court.
