Section 7: Functions of the Unit

The functions of the Unit are to-
(a)
implement the decisions of the Committee;
(b)
co-ordinate the activities ofthe Ministries, Departments and Agencies responsible for the implementation of this Act;
(c)
collate and furnish all required annual or other periodical reports required to be furnished under this Act;
(d)
coordinate all enforcement activities under this Act and ensure effective liaison with the police and relevant law enforcement agencies on any violation of the provisions of this Act; and
(e)
carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Minister or the Committee.
