Section 11: Penalties for non-compliance

(1)
A person who violates the provisions of section 9 of this Act commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of not less than N50,000.00 or a term of imprisonment of not less than 6 months or both.
(2)
A person who violates the provision of section 10 of this Act commits an offence and is liable on conviction to-
(a)
in the case of an individual, a fine of not less than N100,000.00 or imprisonnrent for a term of not less than 2 years or both; and
(b)
in the case of a corporate entity, to a fine not exceeding N200,000.00.
(3)
A person who smokes where smoking is prohibited, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of not less than N50,000.00 or a term of imprisonment of 6 months or both.
