FEDERAL HIGH COURT ACT

Section 1: Establishment of the Federal High Court.

(1) There is hereby established a High Court of justice which shall be styled "Federal High Court "(in this Act referred to as "the Court").
(2) The Court shall consist of the following-
(a) the Chief Judge, who shall have overall control and supervision of the administration of the Court; and
(b) seventy Judges of the Federal High Court.

(3) The Court shall be a superior court of record and, save as otherwise provided by law, shall have all the powers of the High Court of any of the State in the Federation.
(4) The Court assume its functions on such date as may be appointed by an order made by the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
