Section 13: Appointment of Statistician-General and other Staff of the Bureau.

(1) There shall be a Statistician-General who shall be appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Minister responsible for National Planning Commission.
(2) To be eligible for appointment to the office of Statistician-General, the person shall have the requisite qualification and minimum of 15years cognate experience in statistics and in relevant discipline, and proven managerial ability.
