Section 17: Suspension or dismissal.

The President may, on the advice of the Board, suspend or dismiss from office the Statistician-General on the ground of-(a) gross misconduct;
(b) incompetence;
(c) negligence of duty;
(d) being convicted of a criminal offence with penalty of three month imprisonment or more.
