PHARMACY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (ESTABLISHMENT) ACT, 2022
Section 53: Obstruction of a Pharmaceutical Inspection Officer and breaking of seal.
A person who -(a) obstructs, resists, or attempts to obstruct or resist a Pharmaceutical Inspection Officer in the execution of his duty under this Act,
(b) makes any statement to a Pharmaceutical Inspection Officer in the course of his duties which the person knows is or has reasonable cause to believe to be false or misleading,
(c) without the authority of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Officer removes, alters or interferes in anyway with any article seized under this Act, or
(d) breaks the Council’s seal or lock,
commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of N2,000,000 or imprisonment for a term of two years or both.
