Section 45: Establishment of the Panel.

(1) There is established the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria Investigating Panel (in this Act referred to as "the Panel") charged with the responsibilities for -
(a) conducting preliminary investigation into any case where it is alleged that a person registered under this Act as a pharmacist, pharmacy intern or a provisional member has committed an act in that capacity amounting to a professional misconduct or infamous conduct in a professional respect, or is for any other reason the subject of proceedings before the Tribunal; and
(b) deciding whether the case should be referred to the Tribunal.
(2) The Panel shall be appointed by the Council and shall consist of four members of the Council and one other person who is not a member of the Council, but who is a registered pharmacist appointed by the Council.
