Section 99: Saving as to certain quarriable minerals.

(1) Subject to subsection (2) of this section, nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to apply in relation to the extraction of sand, clay, laterite and stone for personal use by the local inhabitants of an area in accordance with the local custom of the community of that area.
(2) No explosive shall be used for the extraction of any of the minerals referred to in subsection (1) of this section.
