Section 1: Establishment of the National Biotechnology Development Agency.

(1) There is established the National Biotechnology Development Agency (in this Act referred to as "the Agency").
(2) The Agency-
(a) is a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;
(b) may sue and be sued in its corporate name; and
(c) may acquire, hold or dispose of any property, movable or immovable, for the purpose of performing any of its functions under this Act.
(3) The headquarters of the Agency shall be in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
