Section 72: Extinguishing period for maritime liens

The maritime liens set out in section 67 ofthis Act, shall be extinguished after a period of one year from the time when the claims secured by the lien arose, unless prior to the expiry of the period the ship was arrested and the arrest led to proceedings for a forced sale.
