Section 68: Order of priority of maritime liens

(1)
The maritime liens listed in section 67 of this Act, shall rank in the order in which they appear in that section except that the liens contained in section 67 (1) (d) take priority over all others if the others were registered prior to the time when the operations giving rise to the liens contained in the said section 67 (1) (d) were performed.
(2)
Claims for contribution on general average shall be deemed to have accrued on the date on which the general average act was performed and claims for salvage shall be deemed to have accrued on the date on which the salvage operation was terminated.
