Section 70: Overriding nature of maritime lien
(1)
The maritime liens set out in section 67 of this Act arise whether the claims secured by the liens are against the owner or against the demise or other charterer, manager or operator of the ship.
(2)
Subject to the provisions of section 75 of this Act, the maritime liens securing the claims set out in section 67 of this Act, remain attached to the ship notwithstanding any change of ownership or of registration of the ship.
