Section 394: Salvage of human life

(1)
No remuneration is due from persons whose lives are saved.
(2)
A salvor of human life who took part in the services rendered on the occasion of an accident giving rise to the salvage or assistance, is entitled to a fair and reasonable reward from the owners of the salved vessel and cargo as may be determined by the court.
