Section 296: Regulations as to the validity of foreign certificates
(1)
With a view to determining the validity in Nigeria of certificates purporting to have been issued in accordance with the Load Line Convention in respect of foreign ships, the Minister may make such regulations as appear to him to be necessary.
(2)
For the purposes of the provisions of this Part relating to a foreign ship the expression "a valid Load Line Certificate" means a certificate complying with such of those regulations made under subsection (1) of this section as are applicable in the circumstances.
