Section 155: Wages not to accrue during refusal to work or imprisonment

2007Section 155 of 445Federal Republic of Nigeria

A seaman or cadet who belongs to a Nigerian ship shall not be entitled to wages for any time during which he:
(a)
unlawfully refuses or neglects to work, when required, whether before or after the time fixed by the agreement for his commencement of such work;
(b)
is lawfully imprisoned for an offence committed by him unless a court hearing the case otherwise directs.
