Section 154: Wages on termination of service by illness

Where the services of a seaman who belongs to a Nigerian ship terminates before the date contemplated in his agreement by reason of the seaman being left onshore at any place outside Nigeria under a certificate granted under section 113 of this Act, or his unfitness or inability to proceed on the voyage, the seaman shall be entitled to wages up to the time of the termination, but not for any longer period.
