Section 16: Obstructing members or officers, and creating disturbances, etc.

Any stranger in respect of a Legislative House who-(a) hinders or obstructs any member of that Legislative House coming to, going from or being within the Chamber or the precincts thereof; or
(b) interferes with, resists or obstructs any officer of a Legislative House while in the execution of his duty; or
(c) creates or joins in any disturbance which interrupts or is likely to interrupt the proceedings of that Legislative House while it is sitting; or
(d)
sits or votes in that Legislative House,
shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of one hundred naira or to imprisonment for six months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
