Section 24: Interpretation.

In this Act -
"Chairman" means the Chairman of the Council appointed under section 3 of the Act;
"College" means the Federal Capital Territory College of Education established under section 1(1) of this Act and "Colleges" shall be construed accordingly;
"Council" means the Governing Council of the College established under section 2(1) of this Act;
"Congregation" means academic and non-academic staff of the College with First Degree either B.A or B.SC;
"Functions" includes powers and duties;
"Member" means a member of the Council including the Chairman;
"Minister" means the Minister charged with responsibility for matters relating to the Federal Capital Territory;
"Provost" means the Provost of the College appointed under section 10(1) of this Act;
"The person responsible for education in the FCT" means the person appointed by the Minister to oversee the education sector in the FCT.
