Section 22: Forgery, etc., of stamp or mark.

(1) Any person who forges or counterfeits or causes to be forged or counterfeited or knowingly assists in forging or counterfeiting, any stamp or mark used for stamping or marking any weight, measure, weighing instrument or measuring instrument under this Act, shall be guilty of an offence and shall on summary conviction be liable to a fine of not less than N100 or more than N200 or to imprisonment for a term of six months.
(2) Any person who wilfully destroys a seal, mark or stamp on or in a weighing or measuring instrument as evidence of passing as fit for use for trade or of rejection for such use, shall be guilty of an offence and such weighing or measuring instrument shall be liable to forfeiture.
