TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS (PROHIBITION) LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION ACT
Section 29: Commercial carrier
(1) Any commercial carrier who knowingly carries any person in contravention of this Act in addition to any other penalty provided in any other Act or enactment, commits an offence and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for 2 years or a N2,000,000.00 instead thereof.
(2) Where an offence under this Act which has been committed by a body corporate is proved to have been committed on the instigation or with the connivance of or is attributable to any neglect, on the part of a Director, Manager, Secretary of the body corporate, or any person purported to act in any such capacity, he shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for 3 years or to a fine of N2,000,00.00 or both.
