2015Section 73 of 83Federal Republic of Nigeria

1 Offences under this Act are considered to be extraditable crimes for which extradition may be requested, granted or obtained under the Extradition Act.
2 Notwithstanding the provisions of sub-section (1) of this Section, no person shall be extradited under this Act, where the Government has substantial grounds for believing that a request for extradition for an offence has been made for the purpose of prosecuting or punishing a person on
account of that person's race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin or political opinion or that compliance with the request would cause prejudice to that person's position for any of these reasons.
