STANDARDS ORGANISATION OF NIGERIA ACT
Section 10: Special responsibilities of the Director-General.
Without prejudice to the generality of section 9 of this Act, the Director-General shall have responsibility for-
(a) advising the Council in the formulation, implementation and review of national policies and programmes pertaining to standardisation, quality control of products, science of measurement and all matters relating to metrology;
(b) co-ordinating the activities of the Directors appointed under this Act;
(c) initiating the investigations to be conducted by the Organisation pursuant to the powers conferred by section 5 (1) (b) of this Act;
(d) representing the Organisation at national and international levels in all maters relating to standardisation, quality control and metrology; and
(e) enforcing standards and discharging the powers and duties of the Organisation.
