Section 16: Exclusion of Chapter IV of the Constitution and personal liability.

(1) Chapter IV of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is hereby suspended for the purposes of this Decree, and no question whether any provision thereof has been or is being or would be contravened by anything done or proposed to be done in pursuance of this Act shall be inquired into in any court of law; and according sections 259 and 220(1)(d) of that Constitution shall not apply in relation to any such question.
(2) No personal liability in respect of any act done in good faith and in proper execution of his official duties in pursuance or in purported pursuance of this Act shall be incurred by any member of the Board or a Committee, the Chief Price Controller, the State Price Controller, any inspector or any police officer.
