Section 1: Establishment of the Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission, etc.

(1) There is hereby established a body to be known as the Oil Mineral Producing Areas Development Commission (in this Act referred to as "the Commission").
(2) The Commission -
(a) shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;
(b) may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
(3) The Commission shall have its head office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and shall maintain an office in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
