Section 88: Limitation of liability where several claims on one occasion

The limitation of liability under section 87 of this Act-(a)
relates to the whole of any loss or damage which may arise on any one distinct occasion, although the loss and damage may be sustained by more than one person;and
(b)
applies whether liability arises at common law or under any enactment or law, and notwithstanding anything contained in that enactment or law.
