Section 74: Payment of expenses of weighing and measuring

(1)
If the weight or measurement of the goods or ship's draught referred to in section 73 of this Act are more than that shown by the particulars delivered by the master in accordance with section 57 or 58 of this Act, the expenses of the weighing or measuring shall be paid to the Authority by the master of the ship,and shall be recoverable in the same manner as dues leviable under this Part of this Act.
(2) If the weight or quantity of the goods or ship's draught is the same as or less than that shown by the particulars delivered by the master in accordance with section 57 or 58 of this Act. the Authority shall pay all the expenses of the weighing or measuring and of any unreasonable delay of the ship.
