Section 1: Establishment of Nigerian Meteorological Agency.

(1) There is established the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (in this Act referred to as "the Agency")
(2) The Agency-
(a) shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal;
(b) may sue or be sued in its corporate name; and
(c) may acquire, hold, purchase, mortgage and deal howsoever with property, movable or immovable, real or personal, subject to the provisions of the Land Use Act. [Cap. L5, LFN, 2004.]
