Section 31: Powers and Duties of Registrar.

(1) The Registrar may do all things necessary or convenient to be done for or in connection with, or incidental to, the exercise of his powers in terms of this Act or any law, incuding powers that may be prescribed for and in relation to requiring the supply of information and documents, as well as the delivery of certificates and other documents granted or issued under this Act.
(2) In addition to any other duty imposed by this Act or any other law, the Registrar shall maintain the Register, and shall for that purpose :
(a) receive and record all information and documents required or permitted to be lodged with the Registrar under this Act;
(b) grant, issue vary or revoke the certificates, and other documents that are required or permitted to be granted or issued under this Act ; and
(c) issue copies of and extracts from:
(i) any certificate or other document completed in paragraph (b); and
(ii) any, entry in the Register.
