Section 18: Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires-
"Commission" means the National Primary Education Commission established by section 1 of this Act;
"District" means District, Village, Community or Ward, as the case may be, to suit the requirement of each of the States;
"Executive Secretary" means the Executive Secretary of the Commission appointed by section 4 of this Act;
"functions" includes duties and powers;
"Governor" means Governor of the State concerned;
"Minister" means the Minister charged with responsibility for matters relating to education;
"National Fund" means the National Primary Education Fund established by section 6 (1) of this Act;
