Section 3: Employer to pay minimum wage. (As amended by section 2 of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act, 2024)

(1) Every employer shall pay a national minimum wage of not less than N70,000.00 per month to every worker under his establishment, except as otherwise provided under this Act.
(2) The national minimum wage shall be the minimum total amount of money an employer of labour is required to pay the lowest paid worker or employee monthly in his establishment.
(3) Any agreement for the payment of wages less than the national minimum wage is void.
(4) The national minimum wage expires after three years, and it shall be reviewed in line with the provisions of this Act.
