Section 55: Transfer of liability.

Where, under section 591 of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, an order is made by a court under subsection (3) of that section which includes the transfer to the company of the whole or any part of the undertaking and of the property and liabilities of a transfer or company, the order shall include provisions for the taking over, as from such date as may be specified in the order, of any liability for any contribution which has become due and payable under this Act, together with any accrued interest on it, in respect of the employees concerned in the undertaking, property or liability transferred.
