Section 1: Objectives of the Act

The object of the Act is to safeguard the interest of -(a) the farmers against nutrient deficiencies, adulteration, misleading claims and short weight; and
(b) fertilizer enterprises and contribute to the creation of an enabling environment for private sector investment in the fertilizer industry.
