NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR MASS LITERACY, ADULT AND NON-FORMAL EDUCATION
Section 7: Appointment of the Executive Secretary
(1)
There shall be appointed by the President, an Executive Secretary for the Commission.
(2) The Executive Secretary shall be the Chief Executive of the Commission and shall be responsible for the execution of the policy of the Commission and the day-to-day running of the affairs of the Commission.
(3) The Executive Secretary shall hold office in the first instance for a period of five years and shall be eligible for re-appointment for such further terms of five years as the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces may, from time to time, determine.
(4) Subject to the provisions of this section, the Executive Secretary shall hold office on such terms as to emoluments and otherwise as may be specified in his letter of appointment.
