Section 15: Appointment not to be held by unregistered person

(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, no person, not being registered on the register, shall be entitled to hold any appointment in the public or private establishment, body or institution, if the holding of such appointment involves the performance by him in Nigeria of any duty pertaining to the relevant profession for gain.

Nothing in this section or in any other provisions of this Act shall prevent a person from holding any appointment referred to in subsection (1) of this section while he is undergoing training for the purpose of becoming qualified for registration under this Act under the supervision of persons who are registered on the appropriate register.
