Section 7: Appointment of the Rector

(1) There shall be an officer of the Academy to be known as the Rector, who shall be appointed by the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, on the recommendation of the Minister
(2) The Rector shall be the chief executive of the Academy and shall be responsible to the Council for the day-to-day management of the affairs of the Academy.
(3) The Rector shall hold office for four years in the first instance and shall be eligible for reappointment for only one further term of four years subject to the approval of the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on the recommendation of the Minister.
