Section 49: Power of Commission to investigate agents, brokers and loss adjusters.
Without prejudice to the power conferred on the Commission to inspect, investigate or examine any insurance broker or loss adjuster by this Act or any other enactment, the Commission may, for the purposes of satisfying itself as to whether or not the provisions of this part of this Act are being complied with at any time-(a) authorise an investigator to conduct an examination of any insurance agent, insurance broker or loss adjuster as may be reasonable in the circumstances ; and
(b) by notice in writing, require any insurance agent, insurance broker or loss adjuster to produce any document or information on any matter relating to the insurance business negotiated or be negotiated or solicited by the insurance agent, insurance broker or loss adjuster.
