Section 3: Persons who may commence or carry on insurance business in Nigeria, etc.

No person shall commence or carry on any class of insurance business in Nigeria except-(a) a company duly incorporated as a limited liability company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 1990; or
(b) a body duly established by or pursuant to any other enactment to transact the business of insurance or reinsurance.
