Section 68: Limitation of suits against the officers of the Council.(as amened by Section 20 of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (Amendment) Act, 2023.)

(1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, the provision of the Public Officers Protection Act, Cap. P41, LFN, 2004 shall apply in relation to any suit instituted against an officer or employee of the Council.
(2) No suit shall be commenced against the Council before the expiration of 30 days after a written notice of intention to commence the suit is served on the Council by the intending plaintiff or his agent.
(3) The notice referred to, in subsection (2) of this section shall clearly and explicitly state the —
(a) cause of action;
(b) particulars of the claim;
(c) name and place of abode of the intending plaintiff; and
(d) relief sought.
