Section 18: Removal of examiner

(1) If, on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor, it appears to the Senate that a person appointed as an examiner for any examination of the University ought to be removed from his office or appointment, then, the Senate may, after affording the examiner an opportunity of making representations in person on the matter, direct the Vice-Chancellor to remove the examiner by an instrument in writing signed by the Registrar.
(2) Subject to the provisions of any regulation made under section 8 (4) of this Act, the Vice-Chancellor may, on the recommendation of Senate, appoint an appropriate person as examiner in the place of the examiner removed.
(3) The Registrar shall on signing an instrument of removal under this section, use his best endeavors to cause a copy of the instrument to be served as soon as reasonably practicable on the person to whom it relates.
