Section 17: Removal of examiners.

1 If, on the recommendation of the Senate, it appears to the Vice-Chancellor that a person appointed as an examiner for any examination of the University is to be removed from his office or appointment, then, except in such cases as may be prescribed by the Vice-Chancellor may, after affording the examiner an opportunity of making representations in person on the matter to the Vice-Chancellor, remove the examiner from the appointment by an instrument in writing signed by the Vice-Chancellor.

2 Subject to regulations made under section 8 (5) of this Act, the Vice- Chancellor may, on the recommendation of the Senate, appoint an appropriate person as examiner in place of the examiner removed under subsection (1).

3 The Vice-Chancellor on signing an instrument of removal under this section, to cause a copy of the instrument to be served, as soon as reasonably practicable, on the person to whom it relates
